I wonder...this true to life for you? Or perhaps is there a sistah you fiendin that maybe you've some familial pressures to resist?
Sounds like my parents, inversed, my ma's caucasian.
It's only a concern if the parents make it so, if they can't be a homogenous parental unit. Speaking from experience.
Definitely takes a woman and her life giving abilities to make this as diversifiable as it is. Good job sir.

Thanks. Naw, it's actually a young woman I know. Sadly, we wouldn't be able to make it as a couple, due to her religion demanding I convert.
Either way, I believe she's doing pretty well now, but I wrote this with the "what if" in mind.

You never cease to amaze me! In my relationship, and subsequent marriage with Wlk, I've had to deal with the ignorance of my mother. (Seriously, the most delusional, narrow-minded woman I've ever known). Once we had our first son though, she realized that she loved him with no reservation, being tri-racial and all. I like to think that the strength of our marriage, and the love we have for each other, coupled with her realization that I love him more than my life, and if she didn't accept it, then she lost me forever, made her not only open her eyes, but to SEE out of them, and realize that there is only one "race"....human. Outstanding job, Poet! You are definitely on a roll with this series.

I had glimpses to when my wife was pregnant... how I thought he/she would be the one to mend the brokeness between us... but I digress... beautiful piece man Wow. Well, my friend, if that is indeed what happened, praise God! If not... Well, head up. We all have issues and make mistakes- Sometimes the gravest mistake is the one we see five, ten and fifteen years later. In other words... Triviality can end up being enormous, and enormity trivial- But only God has the ability to mend the pain caused by them all. I'll be praying for ya, man.
