We've enjoyed what you all have brought and can't wait to see more. Congratulations to StarChasr for being Poet of the Month, it was a tough decision, but also well deserved! The 4-Play Challenge has been "Blessed" once again, hopefully you all have shown love to our paticipants. And finally we would like to Thank Ol' Skool for starting " Ask Ol' Skool" located "Under The Shade Tree"... Ol' Skool continue to share your infinite wisdom! Remeber April showers bring May flowers, so don't be an April Fool, buy an umbrella!

Scarlet Sunset

My laughter cast shadows against the Sunset.
Dancing across the waves of the sea.
Cultures pay off their infinite debt.
Throughout multicolored versions of me.
My sorrow is carried away by the tide.
Crimson shadows reflect in my eye.
In the theory of black is where my soul hide
Scarlet death comes when the seven suns arise.
The sky turns black and my mind goes dark
Before I die I take my final breath
My soul is not dead and yet it departs.
All other souls die a thousand deaths.
My soul was consumed by the lights of day.
Although it was night the light grew cold.
There was no strength inside me and no roles to be played.
Was I to be saved or did my existence grow old…
Seven suns arise in the hearts of seven seas.
The sun from each turning the seas skin to glass.
My soul skin burns at rising degrees
Yet in Japan houses shake as the earth laughs.
My time has come, the judgment has been set.
My life was over; it was time to pay my debts.
My life was but a scene of foreshadowing death.
All is left twas my Scarlet Sunset…
Dancing across the waves of the sea.
Cultures pay off their infinite debt.
Throughout multicolored versions of me.
My sorrow is carried away by the tide.
Crimson shadows reflect in my eye.
In the theory of black is where my soul hide

Drift Away

Scribed by: Vanessa
3 am
Nestled in your arms
Your face slightly buried in my hair
Drawing in the essence of me
A warm breeze softly blowing in my ear as you breathe
Oblivious to the world outside these four walls
Tranquilized by your respirations
The rise and fall...
Hypnotized by the beating of your heart with mine
Synchronized like the perfect rhyme...
Two hearts keeping one time
Your arm draped lazily across my torso
Your hand placed gently on my chest
The mound of my flesh rising with each breath
Maximizing the contact of your fingers on my breast
Your thighs curled up around the back of my legs
Puzzle pieces with adjoining pegs
Resting in your lap...the perfect fit
Two spoons from a matching set
A reminder of your affection against the small of my back
This is no "fantasy" this moment is fact
Responsible for the direction life used to lack
Lulled by the safety of this cocoon
Tucked away tightly beneath the stars and the moon
Slumber is creeping surely but slow
Eyelids heavy...not ready to let go
I want to savor this moment
When all seems right with the world
Lift earth from its axis
Ceasing its twirl
Stopping all clocks...delaying sunrise
to bask in this warm blissful high
Then setting earth down to resume its spin
Allowing time to begin again
Bringing on the dawning of a new day...

Straight From the Headlines!!!
Wrongly Accused Man Free After 25 Years
LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Willie Earl Green walked out of a California courtroom as a free man Thursday after serving nearly 25 years in prison for the execution-style murder of a Los Angeles woman, which he insists he never committed.
Willie Green said he "would never ponder harming anyone" after working for civil rights in Mississippi.
A Los Angeles judge set the graying 56-year-old free after ruling that the prosecution's star witness, Willie Finley, lied to a jury during key portions of his original testimony. Finley recently recanted his story.
Green, who earned a college degree while at California's San Quentin State Prison, said he was "humbled" by his release.
"Today is a glorious day," he said. "It's a great day. I never gave up on this day. I knew one day this day would come.
"I never asked for mercy. I only asked for justice to be served, and it was served today."
"Good Friday arrived early for my husband," said Green's wife, Mary.
Green had been serving 33 years to life for the murder, burglary and robbery of Denise "Dee Dee" Walker, 25, at a Los Angeles crack house in 1983.
Based on Superior Court Judge Stephen Marcus' ruling, Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Hyman Sisman told the court, his office would not pursue a new trial.
