Born into this struggle Countless years of tribulations Anger and frustrations Negative perceptions often portrayed Foul images framed and displayed A deceptive society leaving debts unpaid Born into this struggle Misunderstood Degraded and.... Humiliated Are we accepting a position of inferiority? The so called life as a minority Reflect on what we once were Legacies now faded Allowing the next generations to become jaded Born into this struggle Conditioned to become enemies amongst our own Power in numbers no longer the backbone Positivity needs to be sowed and grown Stoned expressions of lost pride That same pride left to die Ignorance now glorified Dealing with these aftermaths A high price to pay Remember the ones who paved the way Born into this struggle New milestones we need to create and meet No longer welcoming oppressive defeat Born to live.... this life and sustain through this struggle I'm proud To say I'M BLACK
