Greeting Poets!
We are thrilled to officially welcome you to The Nomadic Poets Oasis! Just two months ago this Oasis was simply scattered thoughts in the minds of a poet and lyricist. Now, with the determination of our dedicated staff, and the love and support of each of you, we have 64 members and counting! The foundation of the Oasis is one of passion. Passion for Poetry, passion for Spoken Word, passion to encourage each member of our Nomadic Family to reach the highest level of our individual creativity...then break through to discover more!
Step into The Lion's Den and lyrically challenge other poets/lyricists in a Hip-Hop style cipher that only the hungriest lions will survive. Enter at your own risk fam! It gets serious...
In our Freestyle Cipher, You'll laugh and shake your head in understanding reading the original Sleepy Flow Chronicles! Our very own Ol'Skool recaps his day, and you do not want to miss it!
Sift through the sands of the Oasis and discover poetry and spoken word that will blow you away! From romance to revolutionary, it is all at your fingertips!
During your poetic journey through the Oasis, make a detour Under The Shade Tree to unwind and speak your mind on topics ranging from relationships to religion!
Also, please visit The Oasis on Myspace, The Oasis on Facebook, & The Oasis on Black Planet, and add us to your friends list!

Click Sun's image to find out Why He Writes!
Thank you for blessing the Oasis with your presence, and undeniable skill!
Below is Sun's favorite original poem, "More Than A Day." Enjoy Fam...
More Than A Day
Need more than a day to show my emotions
twenty four hours a mere blink of how to express my devotion
although i can devise ways that are quite clever
i don’t need to because every moment with you feels like forever
expansive beyond belief, shattering preconceived notions
our internal happiness causes joyous outward commotion
affecting all in our vicinity with a unseen potion
a concoction that wears off never
Need more than a day
your essence soothes like coco butter lotion
me the skin, you the hand with the rubbing motion
this connection virtually impossible to sever
so much into each other we redefine the word together
i the earth which you blanket like the ocean
Need more than a day.

~my religion~
picture perfect prism
pointed slants of seriousness
colorful witicisms
& a splash of sibilant sillyness
scribed on bars of proses prison
convicted to a multis life sentence
vicious vivid vision
o.bsessive c.ompulsive d.iction
admittidly guilty
unashamed -insane -untamed -inspiration
free flowing/fearless fluidity
finger painted so bloodstains
cover the frame of my poetry
past pieces of pain
scattered on pages for all to see
I'm rage contained by empathetics
radiantly high off my therapy
Patient of Poetics
prescribed dosaged filled
then purposely abused
blocked spill//
dried out quill
-symptoms of overuse- ((but never an excuse for a functioning addict,
who refuses even a hint of hiatus, slacker status or rock bottom to hit
as long as there are lips to use
spirits will lift))
ignite vice of choice
pen, pad...pipe packed in a dimebag scripture
write the blaze sparked inside voice
spit that shit eclectics call elixer
those dreams this existence
smoldered beneath creative escapism
verbal essence cures & kindles
verse -a practised religion
